Financial Aid
Galen College is committed to assisting its students in developing financial plans for their education through a combination of loans, grants, family contributions, and other sources of aid. Financial Aid is available to students who qualify. Galen College participates in the following Federal Student Aid Programs:
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
- Federal Perkins Loan
- Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans
- Federal Parent Plus Direct Loans

Satisfactory Progress Statement
Satisfactory Progress is necessary in order to maintain eligibility for Title IV assistance programs and applies to all students. Evaluation of Satisfactory Progress is made at the end of each phase of training.

At Galen College of Medical and Dental Assistants, satisfactory progress is defined by the following criteria:
- A minimum of a grade of 70% (or C) for each phase.
- Being on probation
- Meeting the specified conditions for incompletes, withdrawals, repetitions, and remedial work.
- Must complete in maximum timeframe
- Students must attain a minimum grade point average of 1.0 at the end of the first 25% of the program, a 1.5 grade point average at 50% of the program, and must achieve a 2.0 grade point average upon completion of the program to be considered maintaining Satisfactory Progress.
Reinstatement of Financial Aid Eligibility
Students who have lost eligibility for Title IV financial aid may be reinstated by improving their academic average to the designated standards of the satisfactory progress definition. In cases of extenuating circumstances special arrangements may be made with the Review Team on an individual basis.
